New: Student discounts

Starting today, Medium is offering a 25% discount on one year of membership for eligible college and university students.

Reading is just the beginning when it comes to maximizing your learning on Medium. You can follow writers you like, including many distinguished professors and industry experts. Organize stories into lists to create your own syllabus around any topic. Highlight insightful passages you want to remember and revisit later. Comment on stories to ask clarifying questions or build on points that have been made. And if you feel like you have even more to say, you can write your own stories and share your perspective with the world.

How to get your student discount

We’re offering this discount in partnership with UNiDAYS, a website that provides verified college and university students with discounts that help them learn more for less. Currently only students in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland are eligible. If you are not a student in one of these countries, please stay tuned as we are looking to expand eligibility in the future.

Here’s how to get 25% off one year of membership:

1. Go to the Medium UNiDAYS page to create a free UNiDAYS account and verify your student status. You don’t need to use your school email address to create a Medium or UNiDAYS account — you only need your school email address to verify your student status with UNiDAYS.
2. Select the discount offer to be directed to Medium.
3. Create a Medium account, if you don’t already have one.
4. Select either the monthly or annual membership plan option and see your discount savings applied.
5. Complete payment and enjoy your discounted membership!
